About Kosmic's Education Department

Kosmic's education department is focused on providing a range of support services and resources for teachers and students. The department is managed by Kim Musa and draws on the expertise of music IT specialist and educator Stuart James.

Kim and Stuart can provide you with a range of solutions to your music education needs: the presentation of new products and technology, professional development and training, IT support and installs for all areas, such as PA systems, lighting, music keylabs, recording and multimedia.

Presentations

The key question here is: How can technology benefit you? Kosmic presentations provide an opportunity for us to showcase new technologies that are designed to integrate with existing teaching practices to enhance the learning experience. We demonstrate the possibilities and show how technology gives students the knowledge to produce music CDs and DVDs and create music scores and publish them online.

Professional Development and Training

The education department at Kosmic offers professional development and training in all leading brands in education software including Sibelius, Finale, Pro Tools, Cubase, Sonar, Logic Pro, Acid Music, Band-in-a-Box, and Groovy for both teachers and students . These sessions can be tailored to your needs. Regardless of your requirements, Kosmic can advise and assist you with your music software requirements. Professional development sessions can be conducted in individual or group instructional sessions.

Installs

Kosmic provides service and support for educational institutions in the installation of keylabs, studios, PA systems and lighting rigs. We assist you through every step to help realise your vision. We can help sketch out and advise on the initial possibilities for an install, prepare quotes for budgetary purposes and ultimately manage the installation itself. Similarly, for software installs we liaise with both music and IT staff in order to come up with a solution that meets all needs.
