Gibson "Harrison' style 57 Les Paul as played on the Revolution film clip.
This guitar really has an interesting story behind it. Basically, it is a 57 re-issue Les Paul with Grover machine heads (like the Jimmy Page), a trans red top, and 3 peice top of maple, the upper piece being slightly flamed.

So what, one might say. On further research we discover that it was actually designed for the Japanese market as a George Harrison Les Paul. That never eventuated and the guitar has found it's way elsewhere, this one to Australia.
The original inspiration was apparently a Gold Top owned by Rick Derringer in the 60's. Unhappy with the gold finish and the fact it was turning green, it was shipped back to the factory for a refin and fret job. On return, the guitar was traded in to a New York dealer, where Eric Clapton purchased it, returned to England, and gave it to George.
This guitar can be seen in the Revolution filmclip, and was also apparently played by Eric on 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'.
George nicknamed his guitar 'Lucy'.
We managed to get this rare guitar recently and feel fortunate to do so. It really has the look and vibe of the original, and sounds and plays great. Really great actually!
Here is a basic pic until we get a good one. Note: This is a 58 in trans red pictured. Fairly similar!
